It was a very tidy park with some good facilities. The male showers although clean the fact that their was only one drain for I think 4 showers meant that the adjacent waste water ran l past me on the floor. The park was quiet and well laid out. Thanks.read more

We spent two nights there on a powered site. This campground is the first in all of Australia to charge $1 for using a barbecue. Even in public areas, barbecuing is free. It used to cost extra, but not anymore. The showers have a 7-minute timer, which is plenty of time for a hot shower. If you don't want to use the facilities in the main building, there are additional shower and toilet blocks behind the barbecue area. The camp kitchen is small and only has one table, but it's well-equipped. The children's playground was lovely. The location is not far from several wineries, and the drive into town isn't too long.read more

We had a campervan. We stayed there when we arrived in Hobart and decided to go back there. We loved how it had the hedges are groomed gardens are beautiful. The shower, Toilet kitchen, laundry are clean. Very quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also they are on a bus route to Hobart and stops at different places on the way to Hobart. Just ask the office and they have timetables available. I must also say that they have mini putt and a Thia Restaurant and takeaway it is definitely a must to eat. You aren't to far away from Richmond.read more

We had 3 night stay at Barilla holiday park cabin 17. The booking process was easy direct with the office over the phone with Patrick who was very helpful. Even though we reached after office hours (late night) Patrick had made arrangements to get our keys and securely access our accomodation. The location itself is close to places of interest including some good cafe, distilleries, wineries and airport.Rooms were clean and perfect for a family of 4. Though close to these we felt like miles away with beautiful hill side views local wildlife including bunny rabbits, family of masked lapwing etc and also a kids park which kept children entertained during our stay. They also have a Thai restaurant on site. Would definitely visit again on our next visit to Tasmania.read more

This park was incredible, the staff are excellent, the amenities are fantastic and it's like a home away from home, location wise it couldn't be better, close to Hobart and the airport, public transport into town, far enough out to get that middle of nowhere feel a stones throw from the city. The restaurant and wood fired pizza are a must try, you'll be sorry if you miss them. I look forward to my next trip and staying here again.read more

Amazing spot to camp or hire a hut. Great, well kept facilities and super friendly staff. Lots of wild life around still but no pestering creatures! Free showers and flushing toilets all spotless. There is also Nates pizzeria and restaurant-really nice food for a decent price and service was outstanding, chef came out and made sure we were happy with everything! Will definitely be going back again next time were in Tasmania!read more
