Tour Highlights:
Time: 1 day
9.00am Barilla Holiday Park to kunanyi/Mount Wellington
Kunanyi/Mount Wellington provides a spectacular backdrop to the city of Hobart. Standing at 1271m above sea level, kunanyi is the perfect place to view Hobart and the surrounding areas.
A 40 minute drive will take you from your accommodation at Barilla Holiday Park, all the way to the top of this spectacular mountain. Take time to soak in the views and check out the interpretation centre. You’ll be amazed at the beauty of the Tasmanian landscape and maybe even lucky enough to find some snow!
The weather on the mountain can be unpredictable and very windy so make sure to take a coat. The road is closed at times due to weather conditions so obey road signs and directions.
11am Mount Wellington to MONA
MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) is Australia’s largest private collection of art. Housed within an incredible set of architectural buildings that have been purpose built to house this stunning collection – MONA is a must see.
Begin the rest of your itinerary by travelling back down the mountain. It will be an approximately 45 minute drive to MONA (located in the northern Hobart suburb of Berriedale) from the summit.
On arrival at MONA, explore the grounds and follow the signs to make your way to the museum entrance. Tickets are $30 adult and $27 concession. Please note that MONA is closed on Tuesdays.

After taking in all of the wonderful experiences at MONA, including the amazing food at the many restaurants and bars across the site, head back to your home base at Barilla Holiday Park. It will take just over 20 minutes to arrive back at your cabin or campsite.
