Buses are available on Saturdays to Salamanca Market, River Cruises, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens or for shopping in the city – check with reception for times and prices.

Salamanca Markets 11km
Open every Saturday 9am – 3pm. Free to the public. Over 300 stalls, plenty of places to eat and drink. Parking can be difficult; our shuttle bus is available every Saturday between October and April. Just book at reception, fares do apply
Richmond 10km
A quaint town close to Barilla Holiday Park with craft shops to explore, the oldest bridge in Tasmania and the oldest Catholic Church.
Mount Wellington 35km
The best view in Hobart. The drive is not suitable for caravans and motor homes. Bus tours are available, check with reception to find out more.
Cascade Brewery 16km
Tours of the brewery are available Monday to Saturday. Bookings are essential. Parking is available. Phone 6224 3515.
Tasman Bridge/Royal Botanical Gardens 11km
A great walk in beautiful surrounds. See the Japanese Garden, Fuscia House and Pete’s Vegie Patch. There is also a restaurant if you feel like a coffee or a meal while taking in the spectacular view. Parking is available.
River Cruises 11 km
A range of cruises and destinations are available all year round. Parking is limited.
Cadbury Chocolate Factory Tour 27km
Tours available Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm. Bookings are essential. Phone 6249 0333.
Wrest Point Casino 18km
Open all year round, parking nearby is generally available. A range of restaurants, bars and shows available.
Rosny Hill 9km
Rosny Hill lookout is the best place to get photos of the bridge and Mount Wellington.
